01:47 am - hey everyone!
Its been a while. Well, Craig started work yesterday. I haven't seen him in over 24 hours. The longest I have gone in a while. It's wierd not coming home to him. He now comes home to me in the morning. It's wierd. I know this job is a good oppertunity for him. Thats why I am trying to get used to it. It will help us out and these hours aren't going to be around forever. I miss him at night though. But, it will help us in the long run. We can pay things off and eventually get our own house and have kids. I want kids sooooo bad. I love kids. I babysit enough to have my own kids. Ohh well. One day if I can take care of my health problems and be financially stable then we can. Well, enough rambling I need some sleep. Everyone have a good day or night which ever at this point!
LOVE YA'LL!!

Hey everyone. Craig nudged me so I guess I should update. Well, I have been working alot. And I talked Craig into going up to my parents property for the 4th. He is gonna go camping with me. YEAH!!!!!!! I am so happy. I know you aren't an outside guy but, I really appreciate you going for me. You do love me! J/K Today I went to my grandparents property and worked that sucked. I almost got sick from the heat so I kinda quit early but she still payed me. I love them. Then I took my little brother fishing and he caught 7 fish while everyone else caught nothing. It was kinda funny. He is a really good fisherman. He knows all the fish and how to catch them. Needless to say my day off for the week was busy. Now I am tired and I am going to sleep. Ya'll have a good day or night (depending when you read this). Ohh and I will be starting school in January. I am getting excited. Well now I am going. Have a good one ya'll!

Yeah I know it has been a while since I posted. Not much has been going on. That and I have been lazy. Well, still there is nothing really going on except I get to spend my 2 days off at home. I have been feeling really yucky lately. I don't know why. All I have been doing is working and coming home nothin special. But I hope it doesn't last. I have a 8 hour day tomorrow and I can't call in. It sucks. Well, other than that my niece won princess of the beauty contest at the fair. She is so adorable. My little step-sis is marring a 39 year old man. EWWWWWWWW. She is only 19. That is messed up but nothing I can do. She never has listened to anyone. Why now. He is only 6 or 7 years younger than her dad. Yuck! Ohh well. Well, I don't really have more to say. Except Craig and I are doing good. He is still putting up with me. Well, I am gonna go. Everyone have a great day.

Hey everyone,

Two hyper little boys and a girl. Normally I sit and play with them but, for some reason I can't get in the mood to play. Everyone keeps calling me and asking what I am doing for Valentines and when I tell them babysitting they say man that sucks. Everyone is going out tonight for dinners and movies or just having fun. Good for them I hope everyon has fun. I am babysitting for my friends who are going to a dinner and a movie and hopefully will be back before 1am. I gotta work in the morning. I gotta be there at 9am. It's gonna be a long night. I didn't get to do anything with Craig due to him not feeling well. So that kinda sucked. Well, I am sorry to be such a whine bag. I do hope everyone has a great Valentines Day! HOld on lil man is trying to talk. Ok I am back. I love kids but, today I am just not in the mood for any of it. They go to bed in an hour and I get to sit here and be bored for about 5 hours. This day absoutely sucks. I am sorry I am stopping right now. Have a good day.

05:02 pm - I did it!
Hey everyone,
I did it. I finally chopped my hair off. I have had the same hair cut (long, straight and one length) since 6th grade. I went and cut it today. It is now short and has layers. I donated my hair to locks of love. That is how much I had cut off. Everyone keeps saying they love it. So, thats a good thing. I just have to get used to short hair. I love it though. I won't have as many headaches and it looks healthy again. WEll, I hope everyone has a great night.

Women using the patch are exposed to more estrogen.
Ortho Evra birth control patch warning.
(MARTHA MENDOZA, AP National) - The makers of a popular birth-control patch warned millions of women Thursday that the patch exposes them to significantly higher doses of hormones and may put them at greater risk for blood clots and other serious side effects than previously disclosed.
The warning from Johnson and Johnson subsidiary Ortho McNeil, makers of Ortho Evra, says women using the patch will be exposed to about 60 percent more estrogen than those using typical birth-control pills because hormones from patches get into the bloodstream and are removed from the body differently than those from pills.
Thursday's warning comes four months after The Associated Press reported that patch users die and suffer blood clots at a rate three times higher than women taking the pill.
Citing federal death and injury reports, the AP also found that about a dozen women, most in their late teens and early 20s, died in 2004 from blood clots believed to be related to the birth-control patch, and dozens more survived strokes and other clot-related problems.
Ortho McNeil spokeswoman Bonnie Jacobs said Thursday that the warning speaks for itself and that the company has been cooperating with the Food and Drug Administration, which distributed the new warning to health care providers.
More than 4 million women have used the patch since it went on sale in 2002. Several lawsuits have been filed by families of women who died or suffered blood clots while using the patch, and lawyers said more are planned.
Documents released to attorneys as a result of that litigation show Ortho McNeil has been analyzing the FDA's death and injury reports, creating its own charts that document a higher rate of blood clots and deaths in association with the patch than with the pill.
In addition, an internal Ortho McNeil memo shows that the company refused, in 2003, to fund a study comparing its Ortho Evra patch to its Ortho-Cyclen pill because of concerns there was "too high a chance that study may not produce a positive result for Evra" and there was a "risk that Ortho Evra may be the same or worse than Ortho-Cyclen."
Last week, in response to AP questions about the Ortho McNeil memo, company spokesman Michael Beckerich said in a written statement that "decisions to fund studies are based upon scientific merit."
Beckerich said Ortho McNeil is conducting its own epidemiological study "designed with input from the FDA and similar to those previously conducted with the Pill."
Although the patch and most birth-control pills contain the same amounts of estrogen, new published studies show that women using the patch absorb about 50 percent more estrogen than with the pill, said Dr. Leslie Miller, an associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Washington.
When women take the pill, the medication is absorbed into the bloodstream through the digestive tract. In the process, about half of the estrogen dose is lost.
Hormone levels in women on the pill are highest one or two hours after taking it, Miller said. Twelve hours later, estrogen levels are quite low, meaning the body is not exposed to high levels of estrogen 24 hours a day.
But the patch causes higher estrogen levels since delivery of medication continues all day. Those elevated levels may be high enough to increase some women's risk of blood clots, Miller said.
"If the patch is delivering too much estrogen, then it may need to be redesigned," Miller said. "Women should not just take off their patch; they risk pregnancy. If they are worried and want to change off the patch, they can wait to get something else."
Jennifer Cowperthwaite, 26, of Broad Brook, Conn., still suffers breathing problems after a blood clot reached her lungs two years ago while using the patch. She said the warnings were long overdue.
"I wish I had known," she said. "It's quite likely I would never have used it."
Erika Klein's sister Kathleen Thoren died a year ago from blood clots in her brain that the coroner said were brought on by Ortho Evra. She said women deserve to be informed when making birth-control decisions.
"Women have a right to know the true risks and make their decisions based on that information," she said. "No one should have to go through what my sister went through."
New way to ensure proper CPR technique.
Recent studies published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) reveal that in many cases CPR performed by professional responders does not meet American Heart Association guidelines. The studies measured the level of accuracy of CPR delivery, both inside the hospital and on emergency response calls, and discovered that the majority of the time chest compression rates were too slow, chest compression depth too shallow and breath rates too high.
What is called Q-CPR is designed to improve delivery of CPR by professional medical responders. It is a machine that gives a responder visual as well as audio cues regarding the CPR being performed.

FDA approves new drug for a certain chronic illness patients.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced the approval of Exjade (deferasirox), an oral iron chelator developed to treat chronic iron overload due to multiple blood transfusions.
Exjade is the first orally administered medication to be approved for this use. Treatment for iron overload, which can damage the heart and liver, had previously required daily prolonged drug infusions lasting 8-12 hours.
"Exjade provides a significant advantage to adults and children who suffer from iron overload due to multiple red cell transfusions. This oral therapy will allow greater patient compliance and will potentially reduce the complications of iron overload," said Dr. Steven Galson, director of the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research.
Exjade was approved under FDA's accelerated approval program, which allows FDA to approve products for serious or life-threatening diseases based on early evidence of the product's effectiveness. Companies are required to do further studies to verify the clinical benefits. In clinical studies of 48 weeks duration, Exjade demonstrated reduction in liver iron concentration in adult and pediatric patients receiving red blood cell transfusions on an ongoing basis.
Exjade also received Orphan Drug Designation, which is granted to products that treat diseases affecting fewer than 200,000 people in the U.S. The Orphan Drug Act provides a seven-year period of exclusive U.S. marketing to the first sponsor that obtains marketing approval for a designated orphan drug.
In clinical studies, common side effects included nausea and abdominal pain. Elevations in blood tests that measure kidney and liver functions were also noted. Less common side effects included hearing and visual disturbances and rashes. Monitoring of laboratory tests measuring kidney and liver function and testing of hearing and vision before and during treatment are recommended.

While at work one of the managers asked me if I would like to train to be a closing manager. I have only been there 4 days and she said with my past experience that I am qualified. She would teach me how to do the closing paper work and everything. I am so excited. Yeah for me. Plus the people that I work with are starting to talk to me. Things are finally looking up. It has been a good night. Except that I am in one of those many moods nights. The hormones are kicking my butt tonight. I wish that I didn't have to mess with my birth control. They had to increase the estrogen to help me with the cyst problem and and it is driving me crazy. Along with it I drive Craig crazy in the process. I hate estrogen. I sometimes wish I was a guy so I didn't have to worry about extra estrogen. But, if I wanna have kids someday I have to keep up with it. Anyway back to the promotion. I will be getting more hours which means more cash. YES!!!! Well, I am going to bed talk to ya later.
12:52 pm
Yeah the two jobs are getting a little easier. I worked all day yesterday at one job due to the closing person calling in but, that is ok I forgive her she is covering me sunday so I get a day off. YEAH!!!! Well, last night was definitley interesting. Jackie, Chris, Craig, and I stayed up till about 5 this morning doing a karaoke game on the ps2. It was crazy. I kept losing because I sing to high. What a POS. I can't help I sing to high. Jackie kept kicking our asses. She has figured how to get her pitches just right to win. Chris sounds like he knows every song on it even when he has no clue what the song is that is given to him. And Craig well, we won't go there. I love ya hun but, you tried thats all that counts. It was a fun night. I miss those kind of nights were you just hang out with friends and do goofy things. Yeah and to let all you know I can't sing to save my life. Well, I hope everyone has a great day.

Still waiting for this stupid hurricane. Well, I have been at my 2nd job 2 days now. The people here aren't as friendly as the training store. They already have their clicks here. I never realized how bad citrus county is with clicks. They really don't talk to me so I do my job and go home. I chat with the customers. The managers tell me I am doing really well. So Yeah for me. Well, there is really much to say but, come on wilma. Bring it on.
